The story

Team 4911 "Gear Grinders" — 22 students from Lakeside High — just won our regional robotics competition. That earned us a spot at the world championship in Houston in April.

The trip costs about $15,000: shipping the robot, registration, a shared bus, and rooms for students and chaperones. Our school covers part of it, and the students have been running car washes since the win.

Most of our team had never built anything before joining. Your help lets them compete with the best teams in the world.
