The story

Our junior squad has doubled in two years — 48 rowers aged 12 to 18 from schools all over Reading. Our newest eight is 19 years old and patched in three places.

A new racing eight costs around $25,000. It will be used every day of the week and should last another twenty years.

We'll name the boat after a vote of our donors. Thank you for keeping young people on the water.
